This has been a post on the back of my mind for some time. These are features that have been mentioned on my Facebook page but never made it to the blog. I remember how thankful and excited I was over each and every one and how truly honored I felt that they featured these images. I think this is the most nervous/excited I’ve ever been to blog about a post. If you haven’t picked up a copy of the magazine yet, you need to go out now and get your copy! It’s seriously gorgeous…this glossy is just plain ridiculous. The ladies over at Southern Weddings have been making dreams come true since the launch and I know mine has. You should have heard my squeals of delight and seen me hopping, skipping and jumping around the house when I first opened the mag. It’s been a dream to have just one image published in my favorite magazine and I was so excited to find out that 2 made it to print from 2 different weddings: an image of TJ & Julie’s cotton and pink peonie bouquet by Fertile Crescent Gardens at the John Oliver Michael House in a 3 page spread and an image from Ethan & Tracy’s biscuit table. Weeee
Thank you Southern Weddings for inspiring us all and for your beautiful contribution to this industry.

This gorgeous woodland and forest-like inspired wedding day took place across two states, GA & SC.
When Jaimee told me her thoughts about taking the first sight and wedding party photos in their home town at a horse farm, I was ecstatic. Aiken, SC is known for it’s polo horses and Jaimee is a veterinarian so it was the perfect setting for these two. And props to team 18 wedding party and this lovely bride and groom for bearing through the southern July heat in the middle of the afternoon. It was a scorcher.
I truly loved all the unique and personal details they incorporated into the day. The groomsmen in uniform were Wesley’s classmates in the United States Military Academy at West Point and the groom’s cake was a replica of the AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter that Wesley flies. They even exited their colorful Greek Orthodox ceremony through swords to mimic Jaimee’s grandparents exit.
And check out the sunset light spilling through the stained glass windows at the reception! It was an idyllic day full of love and picturesque scenery with an amazing couple. You can see more of their details on Style Me Pretty Georgia.
