Features

This has been a post on the back of my mind for some time. These are features that have been mentioned on my Facebook page but never made it to the blog. I remember how thankful and excited I was over each and every one and how truly honored I felt that they featured these images. So thank you to all the blogs below for your daily inspiration and making this dream of mine come true.

Chris + Roni Preview | Santa Rosa Beach Wedding Photographer

I found out last weekend that a stormy sky is not a bad thing on a wedding day. Look at the colors of the water and sky. Surreal. It was awesome traveling to Santa Rosa Beach with my fiance to capture Chris & Roni’s day. They are good friends of ours so it was extra special:)

And a preview…

Film Is Not Dead Atlanta 2012

In March, I attended Jonathan Canlas’s FIND (Film Is Not Dead) workshop in Atlanta. Everyone that has attended FIND has given a rave review and said it was the best workshop they’ve been too. They were right.

I learned on film at UGA but after 4 years of shooting digitally, I had all but forgotten everything about film. Jon said on day 1 we would know how to shoot film. He was right. For 3 whole days, I learned and shot film and got to hang out with a group of crazy cool photographers from around the US. I’ll still be shooting with my digital cameras but I hope to incorporate more film into my photography in 2012 because I love the look and feel of it. Below are the film scans from the 3 day FIND. Shot with the Contax 645 and Canon E0S 3 using a mix of  Fuji 400H, Kodak Portra 160/400/800 and Ektar 100. Thank you Jon, Catherine and Joe for the best week ever!
